Patient Experience Specialist

Job Summary
Schedule and recapture appointments, register patients for check-in/out, and coordinate with physicians to obtain referrals. Verify insurance in advance to secure prior authorizations, educate patients on coverage responsibilities, and collect due monies including co-payments and deductibles. Answer incoming telephone calls professionally, manage messages, and assist with assigned compliance items and additional supportive tasks as needed. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM in a full-time, in-office setting. No previous experience is required, though medical office experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least a year of related experience and/or training
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire assigned shift
- High degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to adapt, learn, and multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Eligibility to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa
