Job Summary
Handles incoming calls, directs referrals, and manages health records to support CHAS Health’s mission; delivers accurate information about services and locations, processes release of information and related paperwork, maintains health-record indexes, completes referrals with appropriate urgency and dates, documents patient cases and health information, and supports a safe, respectful patient-centered environment. Requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service and written/oral communication, teamwork, and familiarity with electronic health records and HIPAA compliance. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Some college preferred
- Experience with databases
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Compassion for patients
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license and insurance
