Job Summary
Front Desk Associate at Sage Health, the first point of contact for patients entering the medical center. Responsibilities include greet and check-in/out via Electronic Health Record, assist with paperwork, verify insurance, schedule/triage appointments, collect co-pays, update the EHR, manage phone routing, aid clinicians as needed, and support smooth office operations through teamwork. Requires strong customer service, organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Word/Outlook/Excel, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual Spanish and English is preferred. Located in Mobile, AL; in-person role at the office.
Required Qualifications
- Office Administrative/Receptionist/Clerical/Customer Service experience in a fast-paced, heavy phones environment.
- Professional demeanor and communication always.
- Must be organized and attentive to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities.
- Resourcefulness in problem solving
- Able to take and follow through with assigned tasks and accountability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Bilingual Spanish and English (preferred)
- Experience working with an electronic health record (preferred)
- Experience in processing referral authorizations (preferred)
- Medical office or hospital patient access registration experience highly desirable
- Knowledge of ICD-20 and CPT coding (knowledge area)
- Knowledge of medical terminology (knowledge area)
- Experience in medically underserved/culturally diverse communities (desirable)
