Job Summary
Serve as the primary daily support and accountability point for patients in early recovery by monitoring movement, enforcing safety standards, and mediating interpersonal conflicts. Lead non-clinical group activities such as fitness, meditation, and peer discussions while facilitating trips to 12-step meetings and community events. Maintain communal areas including courtyards and meal rooms, assist with minor cleaning duties, and drive patients to meetings when needed. Document observations and communicate with clinical staff, modeling professionalism and emotional composure throughout. Work a varying schedule with a focus on structure, consistency, and crisis intervention in a residential treatment program for substance use disorder.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean record
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Physically able to intervene in emergency situations, including lifting or running if necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with behavioral health or substance use populations
- Crisis intervention training
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean record (minimum 3 years preferred)
