Job Summary
Patient Educator interfaces between prospective cataract or refractive surgery patients and medical, technical, and administrative staff; conducts in-person or virtual screenings, provides balanced education and counseling on surgery options and ATIOLs, discusses pricing and financing, and assists with maintaining patient access to materials and data tracking. The role includes liaison duties between patients and physicians, collaboration with administration for marketing and promotions, and use of the EHR and related software; requires excellent communication, HIPAA compliance, and strong customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Favorable result on background check required
