Patient Educator - Diabetes Education Part-time

Patient Educator responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating educational activities for the assigned service; collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess learning needs and competencies; develops and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes tools to measure achievement of learning goals; serves as a consultant for staff in program development, clinical practice, and professional development; coordinates orientation and preceptor programs; requires RN or Dietitian in Illinois with a Master’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics and BLS; Diabetes Care and Education Certification preferred; role supports patient-centered education within Northwestern Medicine with emphasis on regulatory compliance and quality education.
