Job Summary
Coordinate timely patient discharges and arrange same-day transport, liaising with ward and discharge teams to support smooth patient flow. Update patient status in HTG systems, assist with bed management and transport dispatch, and maintain a positive patient experience at the Royal Cornwall Hospital (with occasional base in Redruth). Requires NHS discharge knowledge, strong communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in hospital discharge, healthcare coordination, patient transport, or similar settings
- Knowledge of NHS discharge processes and the role of transport in patient flow
- Understanding of bed management and clinical priorities
- Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel) and quick to learn internal systems
- Enhanced DBS check (on onboarding)
- Right to work in the UK
- Full UK manual driving licence
