Job Summary
Greet patients upon arrival, manage check-in/out processes, and collect payments including co-pays and cosmetic treatment fees. Schedule, cancel, and reschedule appointments while verifying insurance information and entering accurate demographic data into the computer. Track patients in the reception area, communicate delays as needed, and ensure proper authorization or referrals are collected. Reconcile medical records daily, scan and route provider charts, and monitor inventory levels for skin care products. Answer office phones professionally, respond to internal messages, and recommend products while maintaining HIPAA compliance and courteous interactions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- May include some lifting of boxes
- Professional telephone etiquette and communication skills
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Substantial knowledge of general medical office procedures and terminology
- Appropriate sense of discretion in dealing with patient information and difficult situations
- Able to handle large transactions with ease
- High school diploma required

- College degree (Associate or Bachelors)
- At least one year prior medical office or veterinary experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced environment
