Job Summary
Present comprehensive treatment plans, educate patients on procedures and timelines, and answer questions regarding insurance and financial options. Verify coverage and benefits, obtain pre-authorizations, and provide accurate treatment estimates based on fee schedules. Collect co-pays, discuss payment plans, and coordinate scheduling with the clinical team to ensure efficient procedure delivery. Maintain accurate records of treatment plans, follow up on unscheduled cases, and support front desk check-in processes. This role involves facilitating trust between patients and the clinical team while contributing to patient retention efforts within Smile Programs' mobile dental initiative serving underserved school-aged children across 20 states.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in a dental office setting
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
