Job Summary
Greet and welcome patients upon arrival, assist with check-in and check-out processes, and answer phone inquiries professionally. Schedule and confirm appointments while monitoring schedules for cancellations and follow-ups. Maintain and update patient records in the EHR system, coordinate referrals and diagnostic tests, and verify insurance information for prior authorizations. Handle billing and payment processes, including collecting co-pays and outstanding balances, while preparing patient forms and documentation. Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and staff to facilitate care plans, address complaints, and escalate issues as needed. Adhere to all healthcare regulations and privacy laws, including HIPAA. Work Monday through Saturday with varying hours, earning $23.00-$25.00.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other office software
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in healthcare
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach
