Job Summary
Greet patients and manage reception operations by scheduling appointments, confirming reminders, and collecting payments. Maintain patient records in the practice management system while ensuring confidentiality and updating insurance information. Coordinate with dental staff to optimize scheduling efficiency and manage patient flow. Respond to inquiries via phone or email regarding services and policies. Ensure the waiting area remains clean and organized. This role supports the daily operations of the dental practice under a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in using dental practice management software and general office applications (e.g., MS Office, email, appointment scheduling systems)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Desired Qualifications
- additional education or certification in healthcare administration or related field
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes
