Job Summary
Patient Coordinator role performing front-desk and administrative duties in a multi-site ophthalmology/optometry practice network. Serves as the first point of contact, facilitates patient flow, verifies insurances, answers inquiries, and coordinates check-in/out processes. Requires high school diploma or GED, at least one year of related experience or training, proficiency with basic computer tools, strong customer service, and willingness to work across area clinics with travel as needed. Part-time position with availability within Monday–Friday 7:30am–5:00pm hours and potential additional hours; travel between clinics in the local area is required. Responsibilities include greeting patients, answering phones and emails, managing patient flow, handling payments, daily reconciliations, and other general office duties. Commitment to work over 40 hours when needed and reliable transportation to multiple locations are emphasized.”,
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalence
- One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic computer skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Favorable result on Background Check
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
