Job Summary
Greet and assist patients, customers, and visitors in person and over the phone while performing patient registration in various systems. Answer all phone calls professionally and collect monies for time-of-service patient responsibility, verifying insurance coverage and obtaining prior authorization. Prepare and organize documentation and patient records, ensuring accurate entry into electronic systems and assisting clinical staff with image delivery. Provide preliminary screening, transport patients to and from exam rooms, and assist with transfers on and off exam tables. Deliver preliminary and post-procedure instructions while maintaining a clean, organized work area and stocking supplies. Schedule patient appointments and obtain insurance verification or authorization, ensuring all duties comply with HIPAA regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- CPR Certification (for Mobile Radiology and Oncology)
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to work at several locations
- Strong customer service skills
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs
- Local travel
- COVID-19 vaccination
- Pre-employment background check
- Drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Six months customer service or related experience and/or training
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Bilingual in Spanish
- CPR Certification (for Fixed Radiology)
