Patient Coordinator

Greet and assist patients, customers, and visitors in person and over the phone while performing patient registration in various systems. Answer all phone calls professionally and courteously, collect monies for time-of-service patient responsibility, and verify insurance coverage to obtain prior authorizations. Perform preliminary patient screening, transport individuals to and from exam rooms, and assist with patient transfers on and off the exam table. Provide preliminary and post-procedure instructions, prepare the mobile unit for transport, and maintain a clean, organized work area stocked with supplies. Ensure accuracy of patient records by documenting visits in electronic systems and on written documents, assisting clinical staff with image delivery, and scheduling appointments. Work at several locations with local travel required, performing duties within HIPAA regulations.
