Job Summary
Greet and assist patients, customers, and visitors in person and over the phone while performing patient registration in various systems. Answer all phone calls professionally and collect monies for time-of-service patient responsibility as needed. Verify insurance coverage, obtain prior authorization, and perform preliminary patient screening prior to procedures. Transport patients to and from exam rooms, assist with transfers on and off exam tables, and provide pre- and post-procedure instructions. Prepare work areas and order supplies to ensure proper stocking, while maintaining clean and organized environments. Ensure accuracy of patient records by scheduling appointments, preparing medical records for physicians and patients, and documenting visits in electronic systems and written documents. Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations and assist clinical staff with image delivery.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- CPR Certification
- valid state driver's license
- Ability to work at several locations
- Strong customer service skills
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs
- Local travel
- The COVID-19 vaccination
- successfully complete a pre-employment background check
- successfully complete a drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Six months customer service or related experience and/or training
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Bilingual in Spanish
