Patient Coordinator

Greet and assist patients, customers, and visitors in person and over the phone, while performing patient registration in various systems. Answer all phone calls professionally and courteously, and collect monies for time-of-service patient responsibility. Verify insurance coverage, obtain prior authorizations, and perform preliminary patient screenings including medical history. Transport patients to and from exam rooms, assist with transfers, and provide pre- and post-procedure instructions. Prepare the mobile unit for transport, maintain a clean and organized work area, and ensure supplies are stocked. Schedule appointments, obtain insurance verification, prepare medical records for physicians and patients, and ensure accurate documentation in electronic systems and on written documents. Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations. This part-time role is based in Port Townsend, WA, partnered with Jefferson Healthcare Hospital.
