Job Summary

Coordinate recruitment, scheduling, travel, and admission of research study participants with clinical staff at the National Institutes of Health. Manage patient screening appointments, procedures, and imaging studies between investigators and clinic personnel while compiling promotional materials for events. Triage patient emails and phone calls into urgent, emergent, or routine categories, directing inquiries to appropriate team members. Collect and upload outside medical documentation, scans, and records into the electronic medical record, maintaining patient files and daily charting. Create reports for protocol tracking, arrange lodging and transportation, and send appointment reminders. Act as the primary point of contact between physicians, NIH staff, contractors, and patients to facilitate logistical and administrative duties.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or similar field of study
  • Experience scheduling patient appointments and/or travel arrangements
  • Experience maintaining patient records as it relates to patient care arrangements and travel arrangements
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Experience with strong customer service focus
  • Knowledge of clinical protocols
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to efficiently compose correspondence
  • Ability to prepare reports from raw data
  • Ability to design, set up and maintain the electronic and paper filing system
