Job Summary
Engage patients in a polite, prompt, and compassionate manner during all practice-based interactions, performing check-in, consent, check-out, pre-registration, eligibility verification, and appointment scheduling. Deliver waiting room concierge service, support kiosk check-in processes, and facilitate practice opening/closing procedures while managing incoming mail, cash reconciliation, and fax indexing. Address patient inquiries regarding forms and medical records, scan and index incoming faxes, and promptly respond to in-basket clerical messages. Partner with Access Center Patient Engagement Partners to handle time-sensitive scheduling requests and connect clinical triage specialists to care teams for urgent inquiries. Requires extended sitting, standing, and walking (up to 8 hours), with occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and pushing carts or wheelchairs. High school graduate required; one year practice-based experience preferred.
Required Qualifications

- Minimum one year practice-based experience or in a similar healthcare setting

- Occasionally push wheelchairs with patients weighing up to 325 pounds
- Regularly requires ability to stoop, bend and reach above shoulder level
- Requires ability to hear normal conversation and good general, near and peripheral vision
