Patient Companion - Central Region Float Pool (Emergency Departments Included) - Day/Night Rotation

Patient Companion in Geisinger’s Central Region Float Pool provides safe companionship and supportive care for patients requiring constant observation (1:1) as directed by nursing staff. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe environment, accompanying patients to clinical tests and appointments, assisting with meals as needed, monitoring for self-injury, and remaining in clear sight of the patient. The role requires participating in shift handoffs, reporting pertinent information to the RN, and supporting patient comfort and safety throughout day and night rotations in a clinical setting.
