Job Summary
Observe assigned patients while maintaining a continuous safe and therapeutic environment. Provide continual direct bedside observation to ensure safety from falls and risk of injury to self or others. Monitor verbal and behavioral expressions related to self-harm, harm to others, or unauthorized departure. Work under the direct supervision of an RN and indirect supervision of the Director of Critical Care and Psychiatric Services. Maintain access to confidential patient information. Complete CPR and Crisis Prevention Institute certification prior to working.
Required Qualifications
- CPR - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification course
- Code Violet training
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of experience in healthcare
- Nights Shift (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
- Every third weekend off
- Full-Time employment (3 shifts/week)
- Float Pool availability
- Direct supervision by an RN
- Indirect supervision by Director of Critical Care and Psychiatric Services
Desired Qualifications
- CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant certification
