Job Summary
The Patient & Community Clinical Educator – PaCE will lead disease-state and product education for therapeutic areas to internal and external stakeholders, including patients, healthcare professionals, care partners, community organizations, and advocacy groups. This role collaborates with Access Solutions, Hub partners, and other BI teams to enhance patient experience, supports education resource design (disease state tools, provider resources, patient and consumer education materials, and programming), and may assist in developing education programming and resources such as slide kits and workbooks. Responsibilities include building TA disease-state knowledge, educating on treatment complexities and potential adverse events, engaging in customer interactions before, during, and after product launches, designing tools/resources to improve clinical management, acting as an educational resource across multidisciplinary teams, promoting safe, responsible medication use, educating patients and care partners with approved resources, providing ongoing education and case management support through the patient journey, and supporting BI TA training and education initiatives. The role may require travel within the US (approximately 50%), and adherence to regulatory and company policies (EEO, FDA, DEA, OSHA, PDMA, EPA, PhRMA, etc.). Candidate should demonstrate strong communication, adaptability, and analytical skills, with a track record in clinical data interpretation and the ability to operate in a matrixed, dynamic environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required in Nursing or equivalent health care discipline such as Pharmacy
- Active clinical license required
- Minimum of three (3) or more years of successful combined clinical experience and/or pharmaceutical sales, clinical and/or community educator, or medical affairs experience (primary care, specialty care, institutional)
- Background in TA, high-touch/complicated and rare/orphan disease states preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in therapeutic area(s) is preferred
- Excellent communications, objective setting, and influencing skills
- Ability to travel in the US including overnight travel, approximately 50% (or more), depending on geography
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and other relevant applications
- Success operating within a matrixed setting and rapidly changing environment
- Business acumen, Analytical skills, Learning and Adaptability
- Demonstrated experience interpreting clinical data
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
