Job Summary
Manage billing and collection of patient balances due to self-pay or via insurance processing. Review weekly patient billing reports, follow collection protocols for past due accounts through calls and texts, and accurately note all patient interactions. Identify and resolve billing complaints while answering questions from staff, patients, and insurance companies. Participate in revenue cycle meetings and process improvement initiatives. Stay current on Medical Debt Collection policies. Requires high school diploma, 2-3 years in a medical office, and experience with practice management systems and EHR platforms.
