Job Summary

Greet patients entering the practice, perform health screenings, and verify demographics and insurance information in the Practice Management System. Complete appointment check-ins to notify the clinical unit, collect payments and outstanding balances, and post transactions to appropriate accounts. Handle end-of-day cash processing, including balancing deposits, preparing daily change banks, and transporting funds to the drop safe. Identify patients with incomplete registrations or workers' compensation needs, update records in Epic, and coordinate referrals or interpreter services as required. Maintain cash handling forms, order supplies, and resolve transaction discrepancies while ensuring compliance with billing and collection policies.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ years of experience in a business setting (i.e. healthcare or hospitality check in with cash handling, insurance verification, payment collection, banking, billing or end of the day reconciliation) with direct patient or customer service delivery (healthcare setting preferred)
  • Beginner level of computer proficiency
  • Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday, 7:45am - 4:15pm (including working 11am - 7:30pm one day per week)

  • EMR proficiency
