Job Summary
Serves as a member of the Hospice IDG, providing respite services to assigned patients and families. Responsibilities include implementing appropriate interventions for death and dying, providing emotional support and compassionate care, communicating effectively with patients and families, and documenting services provided. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, complete a Hospice training program, and demonstrate willingness to work as a team member with good communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED, preferred
- Completes Hospice training program
- Willingness to work as a Hospice team member
- Demonstrated knowledge and well-developed communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with volunteering, grief, and/or bereavement
Additional Requirements
- Must possess sight/hearing senses or use appropriate adaptive devices
- Must have a current valid driver’s license
- Must have auto liability insurance
- Must have reliable transportation
