Job Summary
Serves as a member of the Hospice IDG providing respite services to assigned patients and families. Requires completion of a Hospice training program and strong communication skills. Must demonstrate the ability to provide emotional support and compassionate care while working independently. Flexible and innovative mindset needed to cope with the stresses of the position.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- Completes Hospice training program
- Demonstrated knowledge and well-developed communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with volunteering, grief, and/or bereavement
Additional Requirements
- Must possess sight/hearing senses or use appropriate adaptive devices
- Must have a current valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance
- Must have reliable transportation
