Job Summary
Perform various duties assisting unit staff nurses and clerical specialists to ensure efficient unit operations and safe patient care following established procedures. Provide care appropriate to the age of patients served, including bathing, dressing, and feeding patients, performing vital signs, phlebotomy, and EKGs. Complete a 4-week on-the-job paid training program from Monday, October 5th, Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm, followed by 12-hour shifts. Work under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse while maintaining Augusta Health Service Standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit or within his/her department
- Must be able to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures, while maintaining the Augusta Health Service Standards
- Must be able to complete the course for those 4 weeks Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts after the completion of the course
