Job Summary
Under RN supervision, performs basic patient care activities including monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose, assisting with ADLs (bathing, grooming, eating), reporting abnormal changes to nursing staff, keeping patient rooms clean, and supporting unit workflow. Acts as liaison between patient care units and other departments, manages unit workflow with charge RN/assistant manager, assists with pre-census and validates daily admission/discharge/census lists. This full-time night-shift role (7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.), 72 hours per pay period, includes alternating weekends and holidays; requires HS diploma or equivalent and CNA/CMA/EMT or nursing student with clinical experience; CPR/BLS required; phlebotomy experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Nursing students who have completed one clinical rotation
- Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or nursing school students with one semester of clinical completed
- CPR – Basic Life Support
