Process physician orders and records, maintain chart order, and enter written orders into Meditech. Perform hourly rounding and assist registered nurses with patient care, cleanliness, and supply ordering within your scope of practice. Coordinate patient flow and communicate between departments while answering telephones and entering outpatient charges. Assist with patient/family teaching, equipment maintenance, and infection control standards. Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families based on empathy and trust. Maintain current knowledge of hospital policies and open lines of communication with professional staff.
