Job Summary
Provides direct or indirect patient care in Med/Surg as assigned by a licensed nurse or RN; supports unit functioning, care delivery team participation, and patient/family needs; takes vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, pain level); assists with ambulation, feeding, transferring or lifting, admission/discharge/transfer; may perform clerical duties including chart transcription and maintenance; stocks rooms and may handle meds/sharps in the OR field (Cath lab/OR field); emphasizes compassionate communication, teamwork, and attentive supervision to ensure safe, competent care across nutritional, skin integrity, elimination, and hygiene needs; CNA certification or Nursing Fundamentals training preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement: 18
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of Nursing Fundamentals, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, experience as a medical assistant/technician in a health related facility or participation in a Patient Care Technician training program
- Associates degree
