Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care including activities of daily living, vital signs monitoring, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing under RN supervision. Perform sterile and non-sterile dressing changes, catheter management, EKGs, and phlebotomy as delegated. Assist with patient admission, ambulation, transport to diagnostic studies, and comfort measures while documenting all observations and procedures in the EMR. Maintain equipment, stock supplies, and ensure a safe environment in accordance with infection control policies. Float to various units within the Facility Resource Pool on night shifts at Richland Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a nursing assistant, patient care tech, medical assistant, EMT, Paramedic, surgical tech, phlebotomy, military medical corpsman or nursing fundamentals course
- One (1) year of experience
- Night shift availability
- Location in Richland
- Licensure, certification, or registration in the field of training
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as nursing assistant, PCT, MA, EMT, Paramedic, Surgical Tech, Phlebotomist, Medical Corpsman or nursing student
- Completion of a nursing assistant, patient care tech, medical assistant, EMT, Paramedic, surgical tech, phlebotomy, military medical corpsman or nursing fundamentals course preferred
- Licensure, certification, or registration in the field of training preferred
