Patient Care Technician - Resource Team (PCT) - Deaconess Memorial

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you’ll work closely with nurses to provide hands-on care and support to patients. Responsibilities include assisting with personal hygiene (bathing, brushing teeth, toileting, changing linens), helping patients with mobility, repositioning and transfers, monitoring and recording vital signs, documenting important information in patient charts, and providing compassionate care including support for patients nearing the end of life. This role is with the Deaconess Memorial Medical Center Resource Team, offering a flexible schedule with a minimum requirement of 48 hours in a 6-week period. Daily assignments vary across units based on competency, with opportunities for direct patient care in multiple settings. Must be able to safely lift/move up to 50 pounds and be comfortable working in environments with exposure to bodily fluids. On-site location in Jasper, IN; BLS within six months of hire and a high school diploma or GED (preferred) are required or noted.
