Patient Care Technician

Serve as a personal contact for surgical patients and their families during the perioperative period, tracking the patient's journey and providing status updates to alleviate stress. Observe patient conditions and immediately communicate any changes or concerns to the assigned RN or supervisor. Assist with patient transfers between bed and stretcher, follow emergency procedures including CPR if necessary, and escort patients out of the building following discharge. Stock department equipment and supplies to maintain a smooth and efficient care environment. This hands-on, patient-centered role supports a smooth surgical experience at Reno Orthopedic Center's main location, which offers on-site surgery, advanced imaging, and therapy services across Northern Nevada.
