Job Summary
Provide bedside care as a Patient Care Technician (PCA) under RN supervision in the Adult Pulmonary Critical Care Unit. Assist with activities of daily living, mobility, bathing, meals, and linen changes; observe patients, obtain vital signs, report abnormalities to the RN or charge nurse; maintain patient safety using gait belts and alarms; support infection control and basic care procedures; require Basic Life Support certification and completion of the IU Health PCA education program; PRN part-time role based in Indianapolis, IN.
Required Qualifications
- Requires current Basic Life Support certification through AHA or completion of IU Health PCA education program
- Non-licensed role duties including activities of daily living, mobility assistance, observation, and patient safety
