Job Summary
Patient Care Technician provides patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision, assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and supporting feeding, hygiene, mobility, and catheter care. Responsible for collecting urine/stool samples, performing blood glucose monitoring via finger sticks, and reporting findings to the RN/LPN/LVN. Maintains a safe, clean environment with infection prevention and PPE usage; supports communication within the care team and participates in performance improvement and risk management initiatives. Must uphold patient confidentiality and collaborate effectively with staff; BCLS within 90 days of hire required, CNA or CPCT preferred. Role is Part-Time in Kirksville, MO, with in-person responsibilities and on-site coverage.
Required Qualifications
- BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required
- CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant preferred or Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) preferred
- 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred
