Job Summary
Full-time Patient Care Technician in Preop/PACU at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA. Provides patient care in Preop/PACU and ED AHA BLS-certified within 90 days of hire; HS diploma or equivalent required with eligibility for Sentara care-partner programs or CNA/NCMA/NCPCT/EMT/paramedic pathways. At least one year of health care experience preferred in a high-acuity environment (Level III Trauma Center, stroke center). Required Qualifications
- HS - High School Grad or Equivalent (REQUIRED)
- One of the following education programs acceptable: Sentara Care Partner Certification Program, CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, US Navy Hospital Corps School, EMR/EMS/EMT/AEMT/Paramedic, or current clinical student with relevant semester completed, or relevant work experience as PCT or Nursing Assistant within last 3 years
- AHA BLS certification within 90 days of hire
- Education: One year of health care experience preferred
