Job Summary
Patient Care Technician in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) providing multi-skilled support under RN supervision: measuring and documenting vital signs, identifying patient concerns and communicating them to the care team, and assisting with moving/relocating patients to ensure comfort and medical requirements are met. Requires patience, empathy, strong communication and organizational skills to interact with the Nurse Manager and Charge Nurse and to execute patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- At least 1 year of patient care work experience in a health care facility or Certified Nursing Assistant is preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire
