Patient Care Technician (PCT) - Trauma/Surgical

Job Summary
Under the supervision of the LPN, RN, or nurse leader, the Patient Care Tech (PCT) performs patient-centered, evidence-based nursing care activities to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of patients. Responsibilities include checking vital signs, height and weight, assisting with hygiene and mobility, collecting intake/output data, performing ECGs and phlebotomy, and providing age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care within a collaborative care-team environment. Shifts are part-time (6 hours/week, 12-hour shifts, 5:30pm–6:00am) with every 3rd weekend rotation and holiday rotation; emphasizes compassionate, safe care and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- PHYS: Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
- Previous healthcare experience preferred
- Ability to move, lift up to 50 pounds
- Work environment exposure to biomedical hazards
- 21 years or older for some facilities
