Job Summary
Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides basic health care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse or designated healthcare professional, including sanitizing and cleaning patient rooms, monitoring vital signs, assisting with feeding and grooming, and aiding mobility. Acts as liaison between patient and nurse, ensures accurate documentation, participates in hand-offs, and supports independent patient activities. Preferred BLS certification; multiple qualifying pathways include nursing aide training, STNA, CNA, or nursing program with clinicals; EPIC EHR training is noted as a capability. This role is part of the hospital’s nursing float pool, with days shift and part-time scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of nursing aide training program OR Successful passing of STNA State Tested Nurse Aide OR CNA Certified Nurse Aide OR Nurses Aide state testing OR completed a nursing program that had one clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation OR 1 year of relevant experience in a clinical setting
