Patient Care Technician / PCT / Rollins Pavillion

Perform patient care and observation duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or LPN, including cleaning patient rooms, operating clinical equipment, assisting with procedures, and collecting specimens. Communicate with patients and families while ensuring hygiene, comfort, and rest measures are provided. Assist in emergency situations as directed, using devices such as bag-valve-masks, oxygen, and suction equipment. Transport patients and specimens throughout the hospital, record intake and output, and contribute to admission, transfer, and discharge processes. Observe and report significant patient information, document appropriately, and participate in performance improvement programs. Comply with Standard Precautions and infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment.
