Job Summary
Provide basic health care and support to patients under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, including sanitizing rooms, monitoring vital signs, assisting with feeding and grooming, and measuring vitals. Deliver care and comfort, manage personal hygiene, and assist with mobility using therapeutic transfer techniques to foster patient independence. Act as a liaison between patients and nurses to report changes or concerns, while providing accurate documentation and participating in hand-off reports. Deliver high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors, and employees.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care)
- Successful completion of nursing aide training program
- Successful passing of STNA State Tested Nurse Aide (required if OH LTC)
- CNA Certified Nurse Aide
- Nurses Aide state testing
- Completed a nursing program that had one clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation
- 1 year of relevant experience in a clinical setting
Desired Qualifications
- Recent experience in acute care, physician's office, home health/hospice, or long-term care facility, with a preference for the setting in which they are applying
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training
