Job Summary
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) will assist unit staff nurses and clerical specialists to ensure efficient unit operations and safe patient care, performing tasks such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients, taking vital signs, conducting phlebotomy, and EKGs. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent, an active Virginia CNA license or be enrolled in an RN program, and possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Active Virginia State Board of Nursing CNA license OR Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program and have completed the first semester of clinical rotations OR Enrollment in and successful completion of Augusta Health’s in-house Patient Care Tech (PCT) program upon hire
- Basic Life Support - BLS
