Job Summary
As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in a dialysis setting, you will support the dialysis health care team by assisting with setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, patient education on adequacy measures, monitoring vital signs, vascular access evaluation, and documenting treatment parameters. The role includes maintaining a safe, clean environment, adhering to infection control practices, assisting with transitions in care, and participating in CQI activities and education of patients and families. Requires high school diploma or GED, CMS/state certification and licensure, and CPR certification; prior patient care experience is preferred. You will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse and may travel between facilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline
- All appropriate state licensure, education, and training (if any) required
- Demonstrated CPR certification (or successful completion of CPR)
- Experience in patient care setting preferred
