Job Summary
PCT role within the dialysis health care team responsible for setup/operation of hemodialysis machines, patient care education, vascular access evaluation/cannulation, and ensuring patient safety and treatment quality under RN supervision. Requires high school diploma or GED, CMS/state certification/licensure, CPR certification, and preferred prior patient care experience. Duties include monitoring vital signs, documenting treatment parameters, infection control, training of direct care staff, infection-control practices, and coordination of transitional care with home dialysis information.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline
- All appropriate state licensure, education, and training (if any) required
- Demonstrated CPR certification
- Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred
