Job Summary
As part of the dialysis health care team under direct supervision of a licensed nurse, the PCT sets up and operates hemodialysis machines, assists with patient care and education on adequacy measures, evaluates vascular access, monitors treatment parameters and patient response, and performs documentation and safety checks. The role involves assisting with cannulation, administering heparin as delegated, recording vitals, contributing to CQI activities, maintaining a safe clean environment, and participating in a two-person assist program. Requires high school diploma or GED, CMS/state certification, licensure as applicable, CPR certification, and completion of the organization’s dialysis training program. On-site clinic duties with rotating shifts; hourly pay range $16.00–$25.00 with benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline
- All appropriate state licensure, education, and training (if any) required
- CPR certification required (continued employment dependent on successful completion of dialysis training program)
- Demonstrated commitment to organization culture, values, and customer service standards
- On-the-job training provided for dialysis procedures and machine operation
