Job Summary
Provide safe and effective dialysis therapy as part of the dialysis health care team under licensed nurse supervision. Set up and operate hemodialysis machines; maintain a safe and clean environment; educate patients on adequacy measures (OLC, AMP, UKM) and disease process; monitor vascular access patency, cannulation, and administer heparin as delegated; record pre/post treatment vital signs, weights, and machine parameters; document treatment data and communicate changes to RN/supervisor; assist with infection control, CQI activities, staff training, and transition to home dialysis modalities; adhere to facility policies and regulatory requirements; maintain equipment and supplies, and participate in patient education and continuous quality improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D. required
- CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline
- All appropriate state licensure, education, and training (if any) required
- CPR certification preferred or required
- Demonstrated commitment to organization culture, values, and customer service standards
