Job Summary
Provide safe, effective dialysis therapy under RN supervision, including setup and operation of hemodialysis machines; monitor and record vital signs, weight, and treatment parameters; evaluate vascular access and perform cannulation; administer heparin as allowed; educate patients on adequacy measures and disease processes; ensure infection control and maintain a clean, safe treatment environment; document treatment data, participate in CQI activities, and assist with training of direct patient care staff; travel between assigned facilities for transitions of care and support for home dialysis options when applicable; role requires adherence to CMS/state licensing requirements and completion of dialysis training with CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline
- All appropriate state licensure, education, and training (if any) required
- Demonstrated CPR certification and completion of dialysis training program (continued employment contingent on successful completion)
