Job Summary
Provide safe and effective dialysis therapy as part of the dialysis health care team under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities include setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, patient education on adequacy measures (OLC, AMP, UKM), vascular access evaluation and cannulation, administering heparin as delegated, monitoring vital signs and treatment parameters, documenting treatment data, ensuring infection control, training direct patient care staff, and coordinating transitional dialysis care and home dialysis education as needed; maintains a safe, clean environment and contributes to CQI activities.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D. required
- CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline
- All appropriate state licensure, education, and training (if any) required
