Job Summary
Provide safe and effective home dialysis therapy and training under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. Assist in setting up and maintaining home dialysis equipment and a clean home environment for home therapy. Reinforce home hemodialysis (HHD) and peritoneal dialysis (PD) training; collect vital signs and patient data; coordinate with the HT RN and care team; prepare supplies and manage inventory; assist with records, specimen handling, and transport as applicable; participate in quality-improvement activities and adherence to program policies. Role involves travel between facilities, lifting and assisting with patient care, and performing duties in a healthcare setting under CMS/state regulations. Requires high school diploma or GED, state/national certification as applicable, licensure, CPR certification, and successful completion of the organization dialysis training program. Hourly rate ranges from $16.00 to $25.00 depending on location and qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D. required
- CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline
- All appropriate state licensure, education, and training (if any) required
- Demonstrated CPR certification (or successful completion of dialysis training program)
