Job Summary
Assist with patient care in the Emergency Department based on individual patient needs under direct supervision of the registered nurse and/or physician. Perform duties within the scope of practice while maintaining current BLS certification through the American Heart Association. Prior experience with an EMR system and medical terminology is preferred, along with CNA or PCT experience. High school graduation or GED is required. English verbal and written communication skills are essential, with additional languages an asset. Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary for this role.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent required (GED)
- CNA required
- Prior Patient Care Technician experience
- Must have current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent interpersonal skills
