Job Summary
Provide safe, effective dialysis therapy as part of the dialysis health care team under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Responsible for setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, patient education on adequacy measures, monitoring vital signs and weight, vascular access evaluation and cannulation, initiating dialysis treatment with prescribed QB/QD, documenting data, bleeding/hemostasis management, infection control, and environmental safety. Participate in CQI activities, assist in training direct care staff, coordinate with RN/supervisor, and support transitional care for new patients. Travel between facilities may be required; role involves heavy lifting, standing, and accordance with facility policies. Requires High School diploma or GED and state CMS/licensure requirements, CPR certification preferred. Hourly pay range $24.00–$30.00 plus benefits; rate depends on location and qualifications.
